How to reach Sardinia

The best way to reach Sardinia is by plane. Main airports in Sardinia are:
-Cagliari-Elmas Airport (10 km to downtown Cagliari)
-Olbia Airport (260 km to downtown Cagliari)
-Alghero Airport (240 km to downtown Cagliari)

How to reach the conference venue

A bus service from Cagliari-Elmas airport to the hotels will be arranged, free of charge for the conference participants, on Sunday May 26, 2018 and Thursday May 30, 2018. Further information will be given later.

For people arriving on other dates, it is possible to ask the hotel to organize the transfer in advance (email: concierge@hotelflamingo.it). Prices: car (3 seats) € 80, minibus (7 seats) € 120. The price can be divided among the passengers.

A cheaper route requires taking a train, a bus, and walking a bit, as follows.
A train starts from Cagliari-Elmas airport to Cagliari railway station about every 20 minutes, from 5:00am until 9:00pm. It takes about 5 minutes. The train ticket (€ 1.30) can be purchased from a ticket machine at the airport.
There is a bus from Cagliari bus station (in front of the railway station) to S. Margherita di Pula (near Hotel Flamingo) about every hour from 6:30am to 7:30pm. The bus timetable can be found here. The ticket office (Biglietteria) is inside the bus station. The price is € 3.10, and the travel lasts one hour.
From S. Margherita di Pula bus stop to Hotel Flamingo there is a 800 meters walk (take the road to the beach).
