Hotels

There is now only one hotel available for the participants who have not yet arranged their lodging:

• Hotel Costa dei Fiori is a four star hotel located at a 20-minute walk from Hotel Flamingo.
  The Hotel Costa dei Fiori guarantees the availability of the rooms if the reservation is made by the cutoff date of JUNE 10, 2011.

An agreement has been reached to obtain special reduced rates, and those special rates include full board accommodation (breakfast, lunch, dinner are included in the rates). Breakfast will be available for each participant at his/her hotel; lunch and dinner will be served at the Hotel Flamingo restaurant for all participants. Please note that the special reduced hotel rates are not available from the hotel's web pages.

Hotel reservation

If you intend to participate the SC2011 Conference, please:

1. Firstly, fill out the registration form; you will receive an e-mail to confirm your submission.
2. Secondly, download and fill out the Conference registration & Hotel reservation form
   (Word .doc, Open Office .odt, PDF A4, PDF letter).
   Follow the instructions on the form, and make sure that you fax or e-mail the filled-out and signed form to the Hotel as instructed on the form.
   • Regular registration fee (after April 30 prior to arrival) € 300
   • On-site registration fee (upon arrival) € 350

WiFi connection

WiFi internet connection will be available in selected spots around the Hotel Flamingo main building (it probably will not be accessible from every individual room, and it will not be available at Hotel Mare Pineta or at Hotel Costa dei Fiori). The special fare for the WiFi connection for participants will be € 25 for the whole Conference. We will also provide a few workstations with free internet connection, available during the Conference sessions.

Weather in Sardinia

In October the weather in southern Sardinia is usually warm, but there may be brief rain showers. The average temperature ranges between 24 degrees Celsius in the morning and 15 degrees Celsius at night (59-75 degrees Fahrenheit).

If the weather cooperates, there will be the opportunity to enjoy the nice beach next to these Hotels and the swimming pool. A tennis court will be available for use at a fee.
